Fractional Architect

For companies making technology decisions that outlast the people making them.

Every tool you add, every integration and every vendor contract shapes what's possible 5 years from now. I keep track of how it all fits together, on a monthly retainer.

Who it's for

Growing firms, roughly 15 to 200 people, without a CTO or in-house architect.

Usually someone on your team owns "the systems" on top of their actual job. And there's a big decision on the table: a new CRM, an AI platform, merging 2 stacks, or a renewal you're not sure about.

It's also a good fit after an implementation, when you want someone watching what got built.

What's included

The map.

Current- and future-state diagrams of how your systems connect and where the data lives. Kept up to date.

A monthly working session plus async access when a question can't wait. Every hour is with me: 20 years in tech and a certified architect, with no handoff to a junior.

Access.

Salesforce architecture.

Data model, integrations and org health reviews from a certified architect.

A living roadmap.

Business goals turned into technical steps, reprioritized as things change.

Build vs. buy calls.

Vendor evaluations and contract reviews from someone with no commission on the answer.

Stack consolidation.

What you're paying for twice, and what can go.

How it works

1

Onboarding

In the first month I map your stack, interview the people who use it and build the baseline diagrams and roadmap.

2

Day to day

A vendor wants an answer, an integration breaks, someone saw an AI demo and wants to buy it. Send it over and you'll get a straight recommendation, usually within a day.

3

Monthly

A working session to update the roadmap, work through upcoming decisions and review what shipped.

4

Quarterly

We step back and check the stack against your business goals. What's working, what's costing you hours and what to prioritize next quarter.

What you get

You get two kinds of help: the long-term strategy that keeps your tech stack pointed at your business goals, and the day-to-day calls that keep it from drifting.

That includes AI. A new tool launches every week, and every vendor you pay has bolted an assistant onto their product. I'll help you sort out which ones give your team hours back and which ones can wait.

Pricing

$5,000 a month. 3-month minimum, then month to month with 30 days’ notice.

That covers you plus one named ops person. Small config changes are included. Bigger builds get scoped as a separate implementation project.
